Our Camp & Live guide is Internationa
I meet up with literally hundreds of International visitors during my travels. I spend half of my time travelling the country with our elegant sponsored caravan, and if I see a motor home in a caravan park, and the campers are visitors from overseas, I make a point of stopping and talking to them. Most, if not all of these campers use our Camp & Live Camping Guide, and if they do not have one, I sell them one on the spot!

I have also seen some very, very dog eared Guides amongst these campers. They order the Guide on line and the office posts the guide to them. Hours of planning and referring to the guide results in a well used guide by the time the visitor is travelling our country. If the guide really looks tattered and well worn, I automatically replace the guide with a complimentary issue immediately. (One can’t have an International Visitor travelling in a bright ‘n shiny motor home using a tatty looking guide now can we!)

Most visitors to our Sunny South Africa are from Europe, that is: Germany, Holland, The United Kingdom and Belgium.  Quite a large percentage of overseas visitors also come from Australia and New Zealand as well as from the Americas with Canadians as ardent travellers to South Africa.

A basic Australian Itinerary is as follows:

  • Arrive in Cape Town and spend two or three days visiting Table Mountain, a sightseeing tour of the Cape.
  • They will then collect their motor homes and then will head for Oudtshoorn via Sir Lowries Pass and Swellendam.
  • The next morning they will all drive out to the Cango Caves and after lunch, drive down to Buffalo Bay via the Outeniqua Mountain Pass.
  • The following morning they will drive out to the Knysna Heads and have lunch at the Knysna Waterfront.  Back to the caravan park.
  • Next Morning, off to Port Elizabeth. They will spend two nights there.
  • Then Port Elizabeth to East London for one night.
  • East London to Margate on the Kwa ZuluNalal South Coast the next day, then Margate to St Lucia on the North Coast the day after, where they would go for a guided river cruise.
  • The following morning they will drive to Hluluwe Game Reserve where they will spend one night there, and go for a game drive etc.
  • Hluhluwe to Swaziland with a stopover at Mbabane, then to the Kruger National Park for two nights.
  • From the Kruger they will proceed to Badplaas via White River and Nelspruit where they will spend one night, then drive through to Johannesburg where they will drop off the Motor Home, spend a night in a Hotel, then fly off back home.

All this in eighteen days!

An example of another package is: A thirteen day Kruger Park - Swaziland - KwaZulu-Natal Tour: i.e: Johannesburg, Kruger National Park, Mkhuze Game Reserve, St Lucia, Ballito, Drakensburg, Johannesburg.

Most Motor Home Hire companies offer tours that range from 14 to 31 days, and can be adapted to suit the individuals’ requirements.
The various tour itineraries range from:
Johannesburg – Johannesburg (Kruger National Park).
Johannesburg - Cape Town or vice-versa (Garden Route).
