Laager 15’s February Outspan brought campers together for a memorable Valentine’s-themed getaway at Onrus Caravan Park in Hermanus, held from 27 February to 1 March 2026. With the playful theme “Love is in the Air Mattress,” the weekend was all about connection, laughter, and celebrating the camping lifestyle.

As highlighted on page 1 of the newsletter, the weekend kicked off with a warm and welcoming Friday evening. Members gathered around the campfire after setting up their camps, enjoying a relaxed meet-and-greet filled with laughter, great conversation, and the excitement of reconnecting with fellow campers . Visitors added to the vibrant atmosphere, making the gathering even more special.

Saturday brought a calm start as everyone prepared for the much-anticipated Valentine’s lunch. Creativity was on full display, with beautifully decorated tables featuring red roses, wine, and themed décor. Despite a sudden change in weather, as noted on page 2, spirits remained high. Campers adapted seamlessly—retreating into their caravans and tents, sharing meals, and continuing the festivities by visiting one another’s campsites to keep the camaraderie alive .

Adding to the fun, the fines master kept everyone entertained while raising funds toward a 2027 charity initiative, showcasing the group’s generosity and strong sense of community.

Sunday offered a meaningful close to the weekend, beginning with a peaceful Indaba and a session of praise and worship. A special highlight was the presentation of the Berry Award, celebrating one of the members. As the camp wrapped up, everyone left with full hearts, lasting memories, and excitement for the next adventure at Ouskip.

Through sunshine, a little rain, and plenty of laughter, this Onrus Outspan proved once again that great company and a shared love for the outdoors make every camping trip truly unforgettable.
