Here’s one for the record books.

During our recent “Tour around the country” Grading trip, we stopped at Eastco Magalies, on appointment, to do the Grading Assessment on the resort.  On arrival, Louise, the resort manager, told us that The Motorhome Club will be rallying there this coming weekend. We were due to depart on Friday morning.

On Thursday members of the Motorhome Club started to arrive and set up under the shade cloth covered camp sites. One family arrived with a “Midget” caravan on tow behind their Motorhome.

We first thought that they were bringing a young grand child who preferred to sleep in his or her own “Mini” caravan, but no! It was Grampa!
At 90 and a half (don’t forget the half) year’s sprightly young, Jori de Kock is still camping! And nogal in his own caravan. Big enough to sleep in, only just, he sets up a “Shower”  tent as change room next to the van, sets up his deck chair, and “Bob’s” your uncle, Jori will crack his first cup of tea before you can say “Jack Robinson” !

Daughter Marian and Ernie Patterson say that Jori refuses to stay at home alone when they go to Motorhome Rallies, and insisted on his own caravan.
Problem solved!


It has a door on both sides
just like the modern VW Kombi!
More than ample sleeping space – nogal!
